As we are aware that RTI are the most common causes of morbidity and mortality in developing countries among the children under five years of age. It has been responsible for about 4.1 million deaths (33%) in 1990 among children under five years of age. 95 per cent of these deaths were among the children from developing countries. Considering the fact that ARI is one of the very serious issues that is responsible for large no. of infant casualties, our organization decided to undertake a project involving AYUSH system of treatment by adopting 3 villages in Bhapur block of Nayagarh districtfor the purpose. During the year 102 nos. of RTI patients were detected and provided with treatment free of cost. We are in the process of availing assistance from Govt. of India for the purpose.
