Annual report(2012-13)

The campus of the institute located at the outskirts of the city of Bhubaneswar nearer to the Sum Hospital has an ideal surrounding for an educational institution. Away from the hustles & bustles of the city, the said institution has all the amenities of a world class educational institution. It has been providing education to the children starting from LKG to +2 Level both under CBSE & CHSE pattern. Thousands of children including those from unprivileged sections of the society  are getting quality education. Hundreds of children from economically weaker sections are getting scholarships for pursuing their higher education. Therefore the role of our organization in promoting education is noteworthy and will continue.

TIMES SCHOLARS GURUKUL:

Promoting quality & affordable education is one of the many objectives of our organization. In order to materialize the same and educational institution named as “Times Scholars Gurukul” is established and running successfully providing international quality education to the children  up to +2 level.

The said school with co-educational system is having nearly 3000 students on roll.

EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX FOR ST GIRLS:

Education is a key instrument for freedom from ignorance and social injustice. Elementary education is the significant base for childhood development. The organization makes an effort to ensure quality primary education to the tribal children in the backward regions where parents are averse to send their children to school owing to various reasons.

In order to provide quality primary education to the girls belonging to ST community in low literacy pockets Govt. of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been managing the scheme called : “Strengthening Education in Low Literacy Pockets” . Our organization has been managing such a school called as Educational Complex at Kokasara of Kalahandi district Odisha since 2012-13 from its own resources. The said district has a very low rate of female literacy at 17%.

These institutions provide education based on school curriculum with a holistic approach for all-round capacity building of the girls in every respect like sports, culture, social work, physical well being, life skill etc, to make them capable enough to compete with others in the society and live a respectful living. In addition to this, the students are provided various vocational training to make them employment-ready whenever they complete their academic career. At the moment 100 ST girls hailing from poorest of poor families are getting free primary education on residential basis.
